Can I be in choir and participate in athletics/band/orchestra/theater/other club?
Yes! Not only is participation in other organizations possible, it is encouraged! We work closely with other teachers, directors, and coaches to make sure students are able to participate in anything without conflict.
Do I have to know anything about singing or music to join choir?
No! Everything you need to know about singing and music you will learn in your choir class. Any prior experience will helpful but is not required.
How many performances will I be involved in?
6th graders perform on 4 annual concerts. Private lessons are also available and provide more performance opportunities!
What fun things will I get to do in Choir?
While the most fun will come from learning to sing and perform with your peers, choir students in 6th grade participate in a variety of fun activities including the Sandy Lake Amusement Park Funfest, Spring Musical field trip, Holiday Elementary Tour, and the End of the Year Party.
